AmesburyTruth Q-LON U71 and U99: exact part codes and measurements
Identify exact AmesburyTruth Q-LON door-kerf part markings before measuring. U71 and U99 are distinct catalog families: different maker-listed opening and reach values; the same source-reported backing width does not make them substitutes.

Distinguish the families before comparing
The manufacturer tables give U71 a 0.455-inch recommended opening and 0.650-inch reach, and U99/72611 a 0.350-inch recommended opening and 0.500-inch reach. Both tables list a 0.175-inch backing/kerf-width field. Check the installed receiver, actual cross-section, cut length and manufacturer-approved application separately.
How to compare a removed sample
- Photograph the relaxed seal end-on with a ruler and orientation marker.
- Measure the actual retaining stem or backing and its receiver opening independently.
- Measure relaxed reach, bulb/body diameter or height and the closed-door gap without stretching or crushing the sample.
- Compare only the matching published fields and units; a similar profile or printed code does not establish fit.
- For replacement confirmation, use the exact door/window maker, model, configuration and primary part drawing.
Stop rule: Catalog dimensions and historical printed-code references are identification clues only. Do not infer OEM fit, universal interchange, current inventory, or a replacement/supersession from these pages.
The generic kerf-in foam-clad profile page owns the shape identification guidance. No generated SKU, color or length variant subpage is offered.
