Kerf-in foam-clad compression Weatherstrip Profile

Soft/foam compression body with a distinct insert/backing intended for a groove; outer skin/liner may be visible. This page identifies a generic family and the measurements needed to compare sites; it does not identify an exact replacement.

Do not infer: Do not use Q-LON as a generic compatibility claim; brand/product code and dimensions remain separate evidence. No exact product compatibility, OEM identity, material chemistry, generation or supersession is implied.

Measurement workflow

  1. Stabilize the sample without stretching or deliberate compression.
  2. Choose and record the mounting/base datum.
  3. Record the tool and actual resolution before dimensions.
  4. Measure the base/interface before the soft sealing element.
  5. Capture relaxed geometry with minimal pressure.
  6. Measure the receiver separately when accessible.
  7. Record contact motion, insertion/compression direction, sample condition and uncertainty.
  8. Keep compatibility separate: geometry may narrow sites but does not prove fit.
